What this is
A science of how AI agents behave: with the people they act for, with the people and agents across the table, and in groups. It spans economics, psychology, sociology, politics and management.

Why now
AI agents are starting to spend, negotiate and decide for people and with each other. Social science has decades of evidence on how people do this. Side by side, the two show where agents behave like us and where they do not.

Where it is heading
From the landmark experiments we go where human studies cannot: agents dealing only with each other, crowds of agents, and agents working alongside people. Every model's character sheet fills in as studies are published, so anyone deploying an agent can see how it is likely to treat people and other agents.
